A hearty congratulations to our trainee, Casey Shannon, who won one of the two awards given out for the best oral presentation at the 16th Annual Transplant Research Day that took place on December 3, 2012. In his presentation entitled Deconvolution of peripheral whole blood microarray data identifies cellular proliferation patterns during acute kidney allograft rejection, Mr. Shannon demonstrated how microarray expression deconvolution accurately quantifies the constituents of real peripheral whole blood samples.
