Shanay is a graduate student working under the supervision of Dr. Scott Tebbutt at St. Paul’s Hospital. She earned her Medical Doctorate degree (M.D.) from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. Shanay has worked as a clinician physician and researcher.
Shanay’s current research focuses on the role of regulatory T cells in blood during acute heart transplant rejection. As a PROOF Centre trainee, she hopes to improve her understanding of statistical methodologies and computational biology and and their applications in biomarker discoveries.
