The PROOF Centre’s Mission is to discover, develop, commercialize and implement non-invasive biomarker tests for prevention, prediction, diagnosis, management, and treatment of diseases associated with organ failure. Our work will help improve the health of Canadians while decreasing the financial burden on the taxpayer-supported health care system.
PROOF Centre activities at the core of our mission include:
- Harness existing infrastructure including clinical guidance, patient cohorts, core technology platforms and commercialization expertise.
- Discover, validate and implement biomarkers for prediction, diagnosis, prognosis and therapeutic guidance for patients with heart, lung and kidney failure.
- Develop assays for improved biomarker monitoring.
- Develop biomarker implementation and commercialization partnerships.
- Enhance and strengthen capacity, collaboration, and talent.
- Become a self-sustaining organization.
